Is it true, entrepreneurial minds do not go on vacation? What will you do when your brain doesn’t stop working and in every thing that you see, you see business ideas?
I think, it’s good rather than bad.
Rather than suppressing it, I usually take the opportunity to formulate business ideas. Or, take that opportunity to improve an existing one, make some plans and by the working days resume, I’ll have something new to work on.
Today, in this blog post, I’m gonna share with you some knowledge I have in entrepreneurship, what to do when find you find yourself in this situation.
Think Innovation At All Times
Whether it be a product that you buy this holiday season, or some services that you take, unless they’re super great.. I know you can always find something to criticize in them.
Like for example, in the products category, maybe you have bought something you are not 100% satisfied.
Or, in the services category, maybe you got turned off falling in line while paying for something.
Out of those frustrations, whether it be products or services, you can think of something to innovate. That’s the thing I learned from one of the successful entrepreneurs I know, “Find a gap in the market, and fill it”.
Those frustrations are what we refer to as “gap” or “gaps”.
Are You Willing To Dive In To That Niche?
A niche is a specific category in the business world, something like it is composed of a specific problem of a specific group of people. If you can offer a solution to that problem, then we can say you have conquered that niche.
In online entrepreneurship, it’s one of the most important subject to learn. Learn about niche, what is a niche, and how to serve that niche.
Now, going back to your vacation, you have encountered something… maybe a poor performing product and at the back of your mind, you wanted to improve or develop it further.
But the question is, if given enough capital, are you willing to dive in and start a business in that niche?
If yes, then you can proceed to the next step. But if not, then just give it a smile.
Some ideas are better left as “ideas only”.
Brainstorm With Others
We all know that “two heads are better than one”.
You got a business idea out of something you got frustrated with. Now, to make sure that idea of yours is feasible, you have to consult others. You have to brainstorm with others about that business idea.
Consult with a friend, or someone who is inclined to entrepreneurship.
It is important not to discuss it with people who are not business-minded. Or, with people who we consider as “mediocre minds”. For they might discourage you right on the spot without even listening about how good it is.
Keep an open-mind when brainstorming with others.
You are seeking their help for you to come up with something better.
Like I learned from my mom (who owned a grocery store in her younger days), she said, “A true entrepreneur never stop thinking like an entrepreneur.”
Even on vacations. Even on holidays.
Are you one of us?
Only you can answer that question.
May you find abundance of ideas, business ideas, this holiday season.
Happy Holidays! 🙂
